It is the first Burley hybrid released by ProfiGen with tolerance to nematodes Meloidogyne arenaria. It also has resistance to root knot nematodes Meloidogyne incognita races 1 and 3 and to TMV, PVY, black root rot, and wildfire. The characteristics of this hybrid include rapid growth, medium/late flowering and a high number of upright leaves, which tend to facilitate management practices and harvest. HB4194P requires topping before the flowers start to emerge, according to the desired number of leaves per plant. This hybrid has a high yield potential and cured leaves of high quality.
